Commenting is a great way to practice English, but tone is hard to convey in text. A joke can sound rude, and a question can sound aggressive.

1. Giving Compliments

Go beyond "Nice post." Be specific.

2. Disagreeing Politely

You don't have to agree with everything, but you don't have to be mean.

Polite Disagreement:

  • "I see your point, but have you considered..."
  • "Respectfully, I think there is another side to this..."
  • "That's an interesting take, though my experience has been different."

3. Handling Trolls & Hate

If someone leaves a rude comment, you have three options:

  1. Ignore/Delete: Often the best choice. Don't feed the trolls.
  2. Kill them with kindness: "I'm sorry you feel that way. Have a great day!"
  3. Set boundaries: "We welcome constructive criticism, but please keep the language respectful."

4. Asking Questions

Make sure your question doesn't sound demanding.
